ദാദാ സാഹിബ് ഫാൽക്കെ ഇന്റർനാഷണൽ ഫിലിം ഫെസ്റ്റിവലിൽ ദുൽഖർ സൽമാൻ മികച്ച നെഗറ്റീവ് ക്യാരക്റ്ററായി തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ടു. കഴിഞ്ഞ വർഷം റിലീസായ ‘ചുപ്പ്’ എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിലെ പ്രകടനത്തിനാണ് ദുൽഖറിന് പുരസ്കാരം ലഭിച്ചത്. ദാദാസാഹിബ് ഫാൽക്കെ അവാർഡ് ലഭിക്കുന്ന ആദ്യ മലയാള നടനാണ് ദുൽഖർ സൽമാൻ. ഗംഗുഭായ് കത്യവാടിയിലെ അഭിനയത്തിന് മികച്ച നടിക്കുള്ള പുരസ്കാരം ആലിയ ഭട്ടും ബ്രഹ്മാസ്ത്രയിലെ അഭിനയത്തിന് മികച്ച നടനുള്ള പുരസ്കാരം രൺബീർ കപൂറും കരസ്ഥമാക്കി. വളർന്നുവരുന്ന ഏറ്റവും ജനപ്രിയ നടനായി ഋഷഭ് ഷെട്ടി തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ടു. സൈക്കോളജിക്കൽ ത്രില്ലറായ ചുപ്: റിവഞ്ച് ഓഫ് ദ ആർട്ടിസ്റ്റിൽ ദുൽഖർ വില്ലൻ വേഷത്തിലാണ് എത്തുന്നത്. ദുൽഖർ അഭിനയിച്ച ഡാനിയെന്ന കഥാപാത്രത്തിന് മികച്ച പ്രേക്ഷക പിന്തുണ ലഭിച്ചു. ബൽകി സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത ചിത്രത്തിൽ സണ്ണിഡിയോളും പ്രധാന കഥാപാത്രത്തെ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.
‘‘ഇതേറെ പ്രിയപ്പെട്ടത്. ഹിന്ദിക്കുള്ള എന്റെ ആദ്യ അവാർഡ്. ഒപ്പം നെഗറ്റീവ് റോളിൽ മികച്ച നടനുള്ള എന്റെ ആദ്യ നേട്ടവും. എനിക്ക് ശരിക്കും നന്ദി പറയേണ്ടത് ബൽക്കി സാറിനോടാണ്. അദ്ദേഹം എന്നെ എങ്ങനെ ഡാനിയായി കണ്ടുവെന്ന് എനിക്കറിയില്ല, എന്നിൽ അദ്ദേഹത്തിനുണ്ടായിരുന്ന ബോധ്യവും മാർഗദർശനവുമായിരുന്നു എനിക്ക് എല്ലാം.” – ദുല്ഖര് കുറിച്ചു.
