തിരുവനന്തപുരം: കെപിസിസി ജനറൽ സെക്രട്ടറിയും മുൻ മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി കെ. കരുണാകരന്റെ മകളുമായ പത്മജ വേണുഗോപാൽ ഇന്ന് (2024 മാർച്ച് 7) ബിജെപിയിൽ ചേരും. ന്യൂഡൽഹിയിൽ ബിജെപി ആസ്ഥാനത്ത് വെച്ച് പത്മജ അംഗത്വമെടുക്കും. നിലവിൽ ഡൽഹിയിലുള്ള പത്മജ മുതിർന്ന ബിജെപി നേതാക്കളുമായി ചർച്ച നടത്തി.
കോൺഗ്രസിൽ നിന്ന് അകൽച്ച:
കഴിഞ്ഞ കുറച്ചുദിവസങ്ങളായി പത്മജയും കോൺഗ്രസ് നേതൃത്വവും തമ്മിൽ അകൽച്ച ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. പ്രിയങ്ക ഗാന്ധിയുടെ സന്ദർശനത്തിനിടെ വാഹനത്തിൽ കയറ്റാതെ ഒതുക്കിയതിൽ തുടങ്ങിയ ഭിന്നതയാണ് ഇപ്പോൾ പാർട്ടി വിടുന്ന ഘട്ടത്തിലേക്ക് എത്തിച്ചത്.
ബിജെപിയിലേക്ക്:
ലോക്സഭാ തെരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പ് അടുത്തെത്തിയ ഈ സാഹചര്യത്തിൽ പത്മജയുടെ വരവ് കേരളത്തിലെ കോൺഗ്രസിന് വലിയ തിരിച്ചടിയാണ്. നേരത്തെ എ.കെ. ആന്റണിയുടെ മകൻ അനിൽ ആന്റണി കോൺഗ്രസ് വിട്ട് ബിജെപിയിൽ ചേർന്നിരുന്നു. അനിൽ ആന്റണിയെ പത്തനംതിട്ടയിൽ നിന്നുള്ള ബിജെപി സ്ഥാനാർത്ഥിയായി പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.
പത്മജ മത്സരിക്കുമോ?
പത്മജ ബിജെപിയിൽ ചേർന്നെങ്കിലും ഏത് മണ്ഡലത്തിൽ നിന്ന് മത്സരിക്കുമെന്ന് ഇതുവരെ വ്യക്തമായിട്ടില്ല. ചാലക്കുടിയിൽ നിന്ന് മത്സരിക്കുമെന്നാണ് സ്ഥിരീകരിക്കാത്ത വിവരം. എന്നാൽ, ചാലക്കുടിയിലെ സ്ഥാനാർത്ഥിയെ തീരുമാനിച്ചിട്ടില്ലെന്ന് ബിജെപി വൃത്തങ്ങൾ വ്യക്തമാക്കി.

പത്മജയുടെ നീക്കത്തെ വിമർശിച്ച് സഹോദരനും എംപിയുമായ കെ. മുരളീധരൻ രംഗത്തെത്തി. പാർട്ടി വിട്ട് പോകേണ്ടി വന്ന ഘട്ടത്തിൽ പോലും കെ. കരുണാകരൻ വർഗീയതയോട് സന്ധി ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ലെന്നും പത്മജയുടെ വരവ് ബിജെപിക്ക് ഗുണം ചെയ്യില്ലെന്നും മുരളീധരൻ പറഞ്ഞു.

പത്മജയുടെ വരവ് ബിജെപിക്ക് ശക്തിയാകുമെന്ന് സംസ്ഥാന അധ്യക്ഷൻ കെ. സുരേന്ദ്രൻ പറഞ്ഞു. മുൻപ് ബിജെപിയുമായി ചർച്ച നടത്തിയവരാണ് പത്മജയെ വിമർശിക്കുന്നതെന്നും സുരേന്ദ്രൻ വെളിപ്പെടുത്തി.
